Top 10 gambling countries
H2 Gambling Capital published a ranking revealing the top 10 countries where gambling is very popular. To get this list, the consultancy firm took in consideration the average loss per adult in 2010.
Top 3
Because of the mythical Las Vegas and Atlantic City, we could think the US would be in the top of this ranking. However, it is in fact Australia, Singapore and Ireland that form the leading trio. In these countries, the average losses per adult reach respectively 1.199 $, 1.093 $ and 547 $ in 2010.
Rest of the ranking
When looking closer at the following countries in this study, we notice Australia and Singapore really differ from the others as the average losses per adult are two times higher than the third country in the ranking. Indeed, Ireland is really close to the fourth position (Canada) and the fifth (Finland) with 528 and 512 €. Down the list there is Italy (481 $), Hong Kong (468 $), Norway (416 $), Greece (391 $) and Spain (389 $).
